Help from Glaswegians please

I came out of the Subway literally right next to Glasgow Central Station?

Beside St Enoch square, and went down Central tunnel? With a McDonalds at one corner and hundreds of scum underneath it?
Seems a odd way to go really. There isn't a Subway station right next to Central, the closest is a few streets over. It's a bit of a walk from the main door, slightly closer if you go out the back but it's a very strange way to go to Queen Street.

Ah, checking the map it was Queen Street I came out of the Subway and right into. Not sure how I ended up at the Subway from Central, perhaps I wandered further than I thought  It was St Enoch where I got on, beside the big shopping centre.

Just seemed like a rather pointless journey considering the distance between both subway stations and train stations amount to the overall distance you would otherwise have walked :p

Make sure you get a seat on the left side of the train for some amazing views over the Clyde as you approach Cardross, Craigendoran and Helensburgh.

Can I also thrown in a curved ball here and remind you all that there are two stations in Helensburgh - Central and Upper. Make sure you head to the right one, because if you get it wrong you've got a big hill to walk up or down!

The last platform is now 15 I think. 12 and 13 start halfway up the station. They were supposed to be the platforms for the airport link iirc.

Yeah I noticed that on that amateurish PDF layout that Shifty posted.... Not a patch on my artwork TBH :o:p

I was going by memory from a long time ago. I knew there were a few lines but couldnt remember exactly :)

Pft. Five minutes walk between the two. Leave side entrance from Central Station to Union Street, cross the road and walk a little north to Gordon Street. Walk along Gordon Street until you get to Buchanan Street and again, head north until you reach the subway station. You will notice shops on your right, where you will spy a lane between Greggs and a shoe shop whos name escapes me. Saunter down the lane and you will find the entrance to Queen Street Station directly in front of you.

Absolutely no need for a taxi.
