Hi,

Hope someone can help it appears Gigabyte have left the planet (I get no reply from their support and they apparently don't even open email).

I bought a GA-990FXA-UD7 + AMD FX-8 6150 with 16Gb Corsair 1866 DDR3 ram two Vertex 3 120Gb SSD's with antec 750w psu and HD6950 Toxic + other bits to make a fast system.

Problem is having put together nothing but F2 displayed on MB diagnostic display.

Tried another Display Adapter and took out 8 gb of memory nothing other than a 2gb data II disk used disco Vertex drives.

Reset cmos still nothing except F2 cycling on display with 00 shown briefly.

Nowhere can i find meaning of this code. As MB is week old and packaging says FX supported I cannot see it should not work.

Any ideas please help.....

Needs flashing.
I'd DSR the lot and go Intel, or just the CPU and get a 1090T though personally, you've got nothing to lose, and it'll be faster.

I really couldn't tell you.
However, Bulldozer at its present form isn't worth messing around with to get it working, if you're struggling with it, DSR and go Intel, or, cheaper AM3 such as a Thuban if you need the 6 cores.

Okay well no information except I know issue, MotherBoard is shipped with F2 bios does not support FX-8 or any FX even if it says everywhere it does!!!!!!!!!!

I think this is meaning of display but no one says!!!

Need older athlon, sempron etc. AM3 cpu to bootstrap it up........

What a failure ..............................

Well no the board performs no type of even stage one boot, ie. because the CPU is not recognised nothing happens.

It is a really poor bios coding that allows this situation I would have thought as you say there could be a bootstrap that did exactly what you descibe.
