Help me buy some vtec y0

If your comparing both on paper I can only suggest you take a test drive in each - It will provide a lot of clarity to which of the cars YOU prefer.

I drive at 4000rpm on the motorway and I've got a diesel with a 6 speed gearbox ;).

I hate to say I'd probably be buying the Civic in your circumstances. It's still a good drivers car but it's newer, roomier, probably safer, has a hatchback for practicality...

Shame you can't afford a DC5 Integra :(.

you'll be doing about 120mph then!

Driving an '04 (54) Civic, (Sport, not Type-R, don't hit me!) i can fully support it!

The Integra is lovely, but the only downside to the Civic aside from the lack of rawness is the as stated, oil tanker turning circle, 1 1/2 full lock and bam, reverse back and straighten up again to park :D

It's all about the handbrake :D

import a nice EG, preferably an sir2, give me the engine and all that goes with it, get a B18/K20 for you EG, we're both happy

I have driven both and for me the ITR had the edge, I preferred the drive and looks of it and felt it was a bit faster, also the vtec comes in at lower revs compared to the EP3 which I liked. The noise was just

I really liked the civic too, didn’t quite have the same oooh factor when I drove it compared to the ITR but it seemed to drive well and was very comfy, a massive improvement from the fiesta, liked the gear stick placement too :D

I really wish I could, they are just a bit out my price range, a wee bit more saving and I could do it, thing is my current car is causing me problems and I need a new one ASAP, in time though that is the car I intend to upgrade to. Tempted to get a graduate loan to cover it. :p

At the moment I’m leaning towards the ITR, going to see another teg on Monday then another civic a couple of days after that then its crunch time. I shall keep you posted, thanks for all the advice so far though, appreciate it.

The Integra is fine on the motorway, just spent 3hrs 30mins on the motorway in mine :D Stereo up and with a louder than stock exhaust it's not bad at all.

Will be buying a daily banger of sorts soon, waste of a car doing 25K up and down the motorway :(

Neil.

Well, what a day I had, up at 5am this morning to make the 7 o’clock bus through to Aberdeen, three and a half hours later I’m sitting in the nicest ITR I have laid eyes on. It is in absolute mint condition inside and out, just had MOT done and had new brake pipes and pads fitted. Also getting a full service, cambelt and water pump done before I pick it up next Tuesday. I didn’t even bother going to see another CTR they are not a patch on the ITR in my eyes.

All for the sum of 6.9k, I had a budget of 8k so I’m happy, got a grand to play with for some nice goodies. I’ll post some pics up when I get it, the drive home from Aberdeen is going to be fun, I’ll go the ‘scenic’ route. :D

Excellant choice fella, had my DC2 Teg about a month now and is easily the best car ive owned.

Just loves to be driven hard and your smiling before you even get in the car because you know your going to have fun
