Hello!
I currently have a 40 inch 4k 60hz monitor which I use for story/single player games as well as general PC use.
I also have a 24 inch 1080p 165hz monitor which I use for competitive gaming.
These two monitors sit on my desk at the same time. But I am getting the itch to upgrade after purchasing a 5070Ti recently.
I haven't got any OLED screens in my house, the only ones I've seen were at Costco a few weeks ago for the first time (nobody I know has an OLED!). And I was impressed, although that was a quick look (I was interested in the 100 inch Hisense model).
So basically I have nothing to compare too with regards to panels.
If I were to replace my 165hz monitor with a QD-OLED for example, are there any out there that would run 1080p/1440p and look okay - so I drop down from 4k to 1080p when I want to competitive game? I usually turn every graphical setting down to low when I play competitive anyway so a slight reduction in picture quality is fine with me.
Or would a 27 inch QD-OLED 1440p monitor be a good middle ground? Or am I missing out and limiting myself by not going 4k since I am upgrading my GPU every 2-3 years?
Would appreciate the expertise of you guys!
