Rig is sig, and I'm using a Tuniq Tower, with the side of the case off the temps were great, as soon as I put the side panal on they went up by about 10c.

anyone have any ideas or experience in how to improve airflow? preferably without spending money or very much, I wouldnt wanna spend more than £15 anyway.

TIA Yanto.

Maybe cable tying as many cables as you can and keeping the cable management at a good level would be a good idea. The side of the case should increase airflow, but as I know also being an Akasa Zen owner this isn't always true but 10c seems a little over the top!

Got any shots of inside of the case, maybe people will find it easier helping you then...

Also, another quick one, just checking your GTX is in the Zen as I was thinking about getting a GTX when they're a little cheaper - does it fit?

Thanks.

GTX fits yes. its the same width of a standard ATC mb.

and the cores are betweeb 7 and 10c hotter.

Yeah my friend wants to get one but he doesnt know whether to get the upgrade after that which is coming out soon any ideas?

I'd suggest buying an aftermarket cooler if you can, the ACF7 is only £12.91 on this week only (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-017-AR). Then buy some black cable ties from a local store and just clear the mess up really. That's all I can suggest for a budget under £15.

I'm sure you would agree, if you was to purchase one of those coolers, its very much worthwhile because the airflow is in the correct direction here, let me take a photo of mine, will edit in a few mins.

I have a Tuniq Tower, and all the cables are tied back properly, but that picture is just old.

I will get an updated picture up later.

and what cpu and temps do you get?

idle I get about 27 with the side of the case off.

i get over 40 with the side of it on, idle.

just getting a photo, will edit in a few minutes.

side of case is off and im getting averagae idel temps of about 26c!!

how about having a sheet of black mesh on the sideof the case?? instead of a side panel....

updated photo...

Think your TT is the wrong way around which would explain a lot.

Could be wrong though, if so ignore this post.

P.S. I wouldn't bother with the Karma Bay as you already have an intake.

the fan in the TT is pushing air towards the back of the case towards the case fan, is this not correct?

Try snipping out the honeycomb grills at the back and front of the case. Should improve airflow and decrease noise levels a bit too.:)

II can't see it helping, becasue the front fan is totally blocked anyway by the front of the case apart from a tiny slit at the bottom.

In that case, the Kama Bay may well help. Default fan is pretty slow though, dunno about its airflow (I use one of the blue led Akasa ones for prettiness).

my case fans run a 1200rpm, but i dnt know about flow either.

I'm thinking, atm i'm getting the following idle temps with side panal off, and oc'ed to 3ghz...

so I may just buy some black mesh/similar material sheet and use it as a side panal, just to protect the components and give a neater look (compared to nothing), and give me similar temps, to having no side panal. plus it would be cheap aswell.

Are the temperatures actually causing a stability problem? If they're not I'd be tempted to just forget about them...:)
