I currently have the following spec...

AMD 64 4000+ SanDiego (socket 939)
Gigabyte GA-K8NF9 Ultra Motherboard
4x512mb PC3200 Geil Value Ram
GeCube ATI Radeon X1950XTX 512mb
500gig sata + 200gig sata
Intergraded AC93 Audio.

I'm being told that my gfx card should achieve better fps than I'm getting at the moment but the rest of my rig could be bottle necking it because no matter how low/high I have the gfx details I still get the same fps.

Is this true?

If so please can someone spec me something better? I have £150 ish to spend :)

Thanks,

G

your gonna need a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775) or something else for over clocking so another £17 on top

Someone will drop in with a better suggestion or spec i am sure ;)

Good luck with new build

The specification above looks pretty good to me although since the budget appears to be important it might be better to go for the Gigabyte P31 DS3L and put the money saved towards the Arctic Freezer. It is a more basic motherboard but still easily capable and a good overclocker.
