help me identify a science fiction film I half watched

I have a vague late night memory of enjoying a science fiction film at a mates house on video in about 1997 or 1998 (obviously eliminating any films post 1996ish.) There was a human and an alien stranded together, one of them was injured and they were getting to grips with each other around a camp fire.

Does this film actually exist anywhere outside my mind and if so, what is it called? I would like to know if it was actually good or if it was just me feeling happy that made it so. Thanks

Sounds like Enemy Mine, whole film is the Human and Alien crash landed on a planet having to start working together rather than killing each other.

Sure it's a film? Hardly a unique storyline, but that reminds me of a Star Trek Voyager episode.

Hardly - it's based on a short story by Barry Longyear. The idea of enemies having to co-operate to survive long pre-dates Hell in the Pacific.

If I may, I'd like to use this thread for a Sci Film I can't remember the name of.

Its about a boy who befriends odd looking aliens and they've learnt english from TV and think TV is real. I have an imagine of them in their spaceship, male and female alien and the boy and he is trying to explain to them that TV isn't real.

EddScott - My first thought was Galaxy Quest but you state that the human is a boy whereas in GQ they are all adults. None the less, a hysterically funny film. Sorry I can't help though.
