can you identify the maker of my guitar, the only clue i have to go on is the word on the guitars head, ive googled it a few hundred times and tried to use google image search but i keep coming up against dead ends. im basically trying to find out who made it and what its worth,

Good Luck :)

Their LP copy is $800 aus or approx £320 RRP. So probably a fair bit less retail.

How does it play?

mine ? very nicely although i need to resolder a contact inside as on a certain setting it can generate a little static. just havent been bothered to do it yet lol. thanks for your help on this all, even if its only worth £40, just so i know :) i hate mystery's...

It looks like the type of guitar they would sell out of ARGOS and its obviously copied from an Ibanez.

The Ovation Celebrity is a round backed acoustic.

i have to say I prefer the mother of pearl inlay on my fretboard :)

as for agos, they only sell copys of fender strat. always have, probably always will.

Could really be anything, it does have the jackson shark inlays though.... Harmony Central has no mention of the brand in their user reviews, which means it must be pretty obscure because they have been running for years.

whilst it might of identified the supplier it still doesnt get me any of the hard info about this guitar, looks like im not going to be able to find the value of it :(

Very very little I'm afraid... No-name superstrats have so little retail value that most guitar shops don't even carry them. If one of the sales guys took one in trade-in we'd break them for parts, worth more that way. But that's not to say it's not a good guitar, of course, my cheapo strat worked very nicely indeed.

If someone wants a superstrat knock-off, they can get a brand new Vintage for under £200 and not have to worry about impossible to find parts, like (for instance) that nonstandard nut.
