so heres the thing.
I have a friend who i regularly msn voice chat with, but for some reason neither of us can understand (possibly because he cant be bothered - more later) i get lots of clicks and .... well ... quite 'sharp' noises from his end, and as im using a headset after a short time it becomes very irritating and im sure its not doing my hearing any good either.
as far as i can gather his headset uses a solid arm which the mic is on, rather than a bendy one like i have, and im wondering if most of the noises i get are things like the headset cable hitting this arm as he moves his head etc etc.
now the awkward part.
my friend really is quite lazy and he doesnt want to spend any money buying a new headset when as far as he is concerned the one he has works fine; even though i have begged and pleaded and tried to tell him in my best understanding patient tone that all these noises are slowly driving me round the bend - because he cant hear any of it he isnt bothered.
so what i need from you excellent people is to find a way to record our conversations exactly as it comes through my side, so i can get him to listen to it so finally he can hear the same mess i do -- any ideas ??
by the way before anyone asks, its not my end -- i only get this ear mashing from him.
