As far as random suggestions on teh internets go that's not bad actually - OP prob wouldn't go too far wrong picking that one.
Anyone answer this?
If I were to name it something like Kairos would people be able to find it if they typed 'Watch Timing Machine' Do App descriptions make an impact on what comes up or is it solely the apps name? I want people to type watch tester/timer/analyser and my app come up.

I don't think a watch afficionado is going to pay money for an app to tell him how bad his watch is at the only thing it's supposed to do

If by these days you mean 10+ years ago then I agree, then came the whole object/colour+animal fad, has already been pointed out the newest wave is to drop vowels.
