HELP : New Gfx card now pauses in movie playback!

ok guys since putting my 8800gts 640 in today when i open up some movies with vlc or windows media player classic i get random freezes and holds or if i try skipping through the movie it does it aswell!

is this a gfx drivers issue or a video codec problem do u guys think? i'm pretty sure it's easily sorted by re-installing 1 of these
