I bought a 1TB HDD for my PC - built to spec. I just went to install it and hit a big, fat brick wall. The SATA cable is fine. However the power cable is not. The one that arrived with it is a 4-pin Molex. But there are no female adaptors inside my PC. The PSU is a Corsair RM850X. So before I go and buy the correct cabling I need to know I'm purchasing the correct ones.

In this day and age, it must be a SATA drive.

Your RM850X will have come with cables that'll connect directly to a SATA drive.

There shouldn't be any 4 pin molex connectors involved.

If in doubt post a picture of what you have (Imgur is the best option for picture hosting).

This is the PSU I have. I can't seem to find any cables. Seems they have gone walkabout. Which consequently probably means I am stuffed for adding a HD. Is there anyway I can get the correct cables to fit my HD to my PSU? Thanks.
