Have had this sound card for many years and have had this problem for many years tho it seems to have come to a head now.
Installed some new ram and the pc boots up fine, but..and this is usual, the sound card has died...the small led logo lights up ok, but in devices it only shows up as a Internal AUX Jack, none of the creative software even detects the device....this happened every time and now as it simply isn't being recognised in anyway im rather miffed at it!....have tried swapping it to a news slot on the motherboard...no change...any ideas?
K...i have sapped it back to it's old slot and now it is being detected properly....but theirs no sound from speakers..checking all jacks...or from the front " out of box" jacks using the headphone socket.
Rest few times on after the other....it's now working...but still worrying!
