Help please all you legal experts.

I bought a 52inch tv from Costco (please delete if competitor). It came with a 3 year warranty. Tv broke a week ago called thayr repair line and sure enough someone was out and it was taken away.

I called the firm DBS service in newcastle who said it would cost a lot to repair and have sent to a report to their head office NESN who in turn contacted Costco.

Here is the killer.......

As I am no longer a member of Costco my warranty is not valid according to Costco. What do i do. Im sure there was nothing saying this in the documentation i got with the tv (dont have it at hand now).

i know the obvious citizens advice but where do I stand?

(Mods please delete if I have mentioned a competitor)

I bought the tv on 25/10/05 and it came with a 3 year warranty.
So its not even 2 years old.
Just had the manager person from the store in Gateshead who said he is appalled he works for a company that would do such a thing and is just waiting of a definitave answer from his head office.
Preparing myself for the fight tbh.

well id say you have the law on your side with this one m8
providing youpaid in full for your extended warrenty,
id fight this through thick and thin,
good luck,

I think I have the law on my side and boy do I intend to fight it.
Dog with a bone springs to mind. Just have a tendancy to lose my temper on the phone and need to keep calm and professional.

You spent over £100~ so really you expect a good few years out of it, get Costco to reapir/replace or get them to give you a refund of its value, 2 years use so take off 30%? and the warranty (presuming you paid for it)
