Help Remembering TV Show/Film!

Hi all,

I wasn't sure whether to put this in general discussion or here!

For the past....well it feels like 10 years :/...I've been trying to remember the name of a tv series or film that I used to love watching as a kid

I have very vague memories of a male shortish professor type person with a blue coat (I think) and I'm sure he used to travel around in a balloon or some form of transport like that

I also have a vague recollection of someone living in a large vinegar bottle that he used to visit!?

Does anyone have ANY idea what I'm talking about??

It's not the weather man from the "Phantom Tollbooth" is it? He flew up holding on to balloons IIRC

From what I recall it seemed to be a bit more surreal than Around The World In 80 Days and I've just checked out Phantom Tollbooth and it wasn't that (though I think I am going to have to watch that now

)

Yes, could be the animated children's series with Phileas Fogg. He was a lion or something.

At first I thought you might mean Dr Snuggles but I've looked and that doesn't match.

My memory of it was rather vague and it seems my explanation even moreso!

But I thought I remembered talking animals/water and people living in vinegar bottles...stuff along those lines which is why I gave my 'surreal' comment

I've now found that it's out on DVD, oh joyous day!
