Help Sleeping

Staying off the internet might help.

When i used to have problems myself, I found that writing thoughts down on paper just before going to bed. This includes stuff you have done or have to remember the next day and so forth. The idea is that it purges your more conscious thoughts allowing your subconscious to surface before retiring. The problem is that as we relax, the more likely our subconscious thoughts come through just as we need to sleep. Ever solved a problem a night when you least expect it?

Another thing is to concede when you can't and accept that at that time, you may not actually need it.

Hopefully more rabbits show up on the field I have permission to shoot on so I can do that again. Then again the last time I went shooting I jumped of a 9ft fence onto my left ankle and couldn't walk for 3 weeks, never has been the same since.

If it's ongoing and affecting your life, long term, I'd go and see the doctor, it could be that you have some issues that need resolving. Subconscious activity is surprisingly disruptive to you. I'm not a big sleeper, but when I'm sleep I'm out for the count, albeit only for about 5-6hrs max, but it's good quality sleep.

Exercise and a healthy diet is also critical. As well as reading in bed, and keeping away form the tv/pc before bed.

Excercise really is the way forward here, i always used to just be sat around not doing much, and i would struggle to get to sleep on a night. Changed circumstances recently and have been doing much more excercise, and i struggle to keep awake by bed time :)

i find having music, film or tv on in bed makes me sleep pretty quickly. i find laying there in silence i start over thinking things and then i keep myself awake with my thoughts.
i know a lot of people said dont watch tv before bed, but i always doze on the sofa when watching tv, so its natural to do the same in bed.

I always normally listen to music when I'm in bed, I just stick a headphone in and wake up in the morning being strangled by the cable. However for some reason recently I just cannot seem to get to sleep.

This is all the information you need.

I find i have a narrow sleep window. It can come and go every hour or so around bed times. Best thing is put some rubbish on TV and wait for the window. When it comes, close your eyes.

is there any reason as to why you cant sleep? do you lay in bed thinking, do you feel tired you just cant sleep or are you wide awake? do you then get tired throughout the day due to lack of sleep?
