Help Surround Sound card 7.1

I want to get a 7.1 soundcard for gaming to pair with my Sennheiser GSP 500 also to add a bit of more power. The first option seems to be GSX 1000 but it's also quite expensive, there are better and cheaper options ? I was thinking about Soundblaster X3 and few more.

SB X3's head shape customizable Super X-Fi HRTF could certainly help to accuracy over usual average head shape based HRTF.
Tough that actual sound card hardware part of D/A converter and headphone amplifier isn't at level of price sticker.
(but still clear step up phone/tablet level chip in GSX)
But that would be still enough enough for GSP 500 and Creative has B-stock at lot more reasonable price.

But B-stock Sound BlasterX G6 with only average headshape based HRTF is still cheaper and has better D/A converter and lot better headphone amplifier enough for most headphones you could buy.

If gaming is your main focus and you want 7.1 audio then nothing on the market comes close to the GSX 1000.

It really is that simple, the 7.1 from the GSX is so bloody good.

Might actually buy this and give it a try, I own a few sound cards from these sitting inside the storage. For gaming the surround sound is very bad but everything else it is better than the GSX...
