I only make a strong effort to watch Heroes, Long Way Down, Mythubusters - although that's easier to see if you just get the DVDs.

I also really love 24, Lost is alright, Scrubs is pretty funny although I'm getting tired of the same jokes now.

Top Gear of course is also good.

I just don't see the point in wanting to get back into TV if there aren't any shows you're interested in.
 
I'm almost the same, i used to watch TV all the time before i got a PC. Now i only watch Top Gear, Dragons Den and Property ladder (for 2 good reasons ;)).

I also watch 24, Oz, Prison Break, Sopranos, Heroes and Lost, but i don't use a TV for these ;).

on demand is the way forward to be honest. you'v got virgin so you are sorted mate.
You dont have to tune in when somethings on, you get a whole week to decide when you want to watch it.
Theres quite a few good series on the on-demand TV choice on virgin atm.
I use catch up tv for... HOLLYOAKS.. haha.
Cant beat it for raw entertainment value rly. complete comedy

Never understood the whole prison break /24 / lost thing can't get in to any of those was bored withing 5 minutes only American shows i liked were the sopranos and curb your enthusiasm.Heroes started off promising but it's way too dragged out got fed up by episode 3.
There's just something about american shows too much style and glamour over content just not gritty enough.

Switch off your TV set, go out and do something less boring instead.

Why Don't You had it right in the 70's. TV is for the mindless, unwashed masses.
