Hi all,

I have just upgraded my motherboard to an ASUS P5W DH Delux. I have two problems;

1. After the Vapo has cooled to its startup temp it flashes up on the LCD "Pressing power switch" very quickly, however it doesnt actually start the motherboard. It indefinately continues to do this.
I can start the motherboard by shorting the two pins together, everything works fine if I do this. I have also confirmed that the connectors are in the correct positions.

2. When switching off the computer, it turns off then the vapo turns off, a moment later the motherboard turns itself on and continues to boot the computer - quite scarey the first time it happened, holding down the power switch turns on the vapo as its not connected to the motherboard.
Removing the USB connector stops this from happening.

My Chillcontrol is version 3.2

Anybody got any suggestions or cures?

Be warned - with that motherboard when you reset your PC your motherboard will actually power down and back up again (like a cold boot). This makes the Vapo turn off! So if your PC is overclocked heavily it will boot with no cooling! :(

Let me know if you find a solution to this.

Some of the custom controllers like the Golden froster have a few seconds of 'grace' time to allow the motherboard to power back up again. Bit of a hassle having to have the whole controller changed though.

Do you know if the Vapo ChillControl can do this?

When I get my Vapo back Im gonna have to wire it up independantly from the computer if its gonna switch off every time I reset the PC :( When I overclocked my Conroe to 4.1Ghz and it came on with no cooling, it switched off again pretty quickly. :(
