Here is the email I received from me friend...
Basically back in August i booked a hotel in New York called Hotel St.James. I booked this hotel through a website called www.roomproviders.com and i was recieving confirmation of my reservation ever since.
Last wednesday 22nd of Nov i received an email stating my reservation has been cancelled due to unforseen events. I have been trying to contact them ever since to try get my money back as this information was not provided in the email. They will not reply to the dozen emails i sent and will not answer the fones. I had to book the hotel again and pay a further $771 dollars to the hotel. Im travelling to new york next Friday and its put some dampner on everything at a loss of $771.
Hope you can give advice and some help.
