HELP! White / red / blue dots

750w PSU for £18?

I can't see quality control being too hot with these, so one may run ok, another may show issues.
Either way, I wouldn't trust one on my rig :)

Edit: Component quality would also be more than a little suspect at that price too.

Well Antowns, if you get your new card and the problems appear again then you know what to do :).

I'm in agreement with Uncle Petey. I wouldn't use that PSU either. I like to save money but when it comes to a component that could damage other components and could possibly cost me more than the extra I should have bought in the first place, then I'll save more by the initial investment on the PSU. Also the value of having peace of mind is priceless.

I'm really sorry to hear of your troubles though. OCUK are excellent and have had to deal with my problematic butt over the last month. I've got my cards coming tomorrow after 2 refunds. One card was a wrong choice. Second card was a problem with Sapphire, not OCUK's fault. Now my new cards come tomorrow, I can't wait as Battlefield 3 hasn't been as enjoyable on my 6950. I hope you're back up gaming again soon ;).

Cheers the advice guys, I'm definitely going to take what you've said on-board. As soon as the new card arrives I'll be sure to head out and get a refund on the PSU and choose another to make sure. What PSU do you guys recommend? I don't want to go out and buy a really expensive one, I just can't afford that.

Preferably around £50-60 would be ideal.

I've also read loads of great reviews about OC so for that reason alone I chose them to buy my build. Hopefully I'll get it sorted and continue to use them in the future. I've also been playing Battlefield 3 (none stop over the weekend), pretty addictive!

The voltage ripple on the cheap psu may well have damaged the card

This is what they do:

edit: this one is probably not as bad as the one you have..
