Help with an insurance related query

Gents,

I was wondering whether those of you that have been involved in a total loss insurance claim have been requested to supply their V5C document and a ream of other details such as purchase invoice, keys, service information to the insurance company in order that they can deliberate over the vehicles worth...

More Than have asked for all this information but I am worried about sending the real V5C as if they lose it I could be in for some grief with the DVLA

Send it recorded delivery, and keep a photocopy for yourself.

You can always get a duplicate if it gets lost.

Yes send the original.

They have to run the VRD through a computer system called MIAFTA and they wont do that on a copy.
