Looking for a bit of help. I'm going to be getting some decorating done in my Living room in a couple of months time and I'm going to take the opportunity to upgrade my AV Setup.

Current Setup
Panasonic TX-P50V20E
Q Acoustics Q-AV 5.1 Speakers
Onkyo 607 AVR

Sources
Freeview
Apple TV 4K (1st Gen)
Panasonic DMPP-BD77EB-K Bluray Player

Requirements
  • I'm looking to go 4K OLED with a screen size of 55".
  • I'd also like to remove my Onkyo AVR and Q-AV 5.1 system and look at a soundbar with Dolby Atmos.
  • I'd like to replace my existing bluray player with a 4K model as well.

If anyone could give me some recommendations I'd really appreciate it.

Hi there,

I have just recently gone for an LG OLED 55 CX and an LG SN11 sound bar. Absolutely stunning bits of kit. I cant help you with a blueray suggestion as such, but my Xbox series X has a 4k Bluray built in so I just use that if not streaming a movie. Should be able to get good deals on the LG CX55 at present as its last years model but you may need to be quick.

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll look in them both :)

Panasonic or LG
Don't do it
Panasonic 820

Thanks for the recommendations of a 4K bluray player.

I'd be wary about going from 5.1 to a soundbar there's no way it can reigate sound coming from behind you unless there are speakers behind you imo.

I'm going to look into the sounder option. I know what you mean but I've had my existing setup for 10yrs or so now, I'm interested to see what the sound quality is like from a soundbar setup compared to what I'm using now.
