help with Orange SPV C500 (Profile Stuck!)

hey

i have this phone and it's carp but it's a works phone so there isn't much i can do about it at the moment.

anyway, had it in the car in its cradle, it was in car profile, all ok. i get a call which i answered, then i pulled it out of the cradle because i was having trouble hearing the caller.
now it wont return to normal mode when i have it out of the cradle, even when i try changing the profile. i dont want to master reset because i have a lot of info in there i need ( i will though if you can tell me that defintely cures it)

anyone had this problem with this phone? any ideas what to do?

Mine did that, master reset didnt fix it, I think its something to do with getting stuff stuck in the headphone socket bit, I had to walk around with my handsfree kit for a few days lol. In the end I sent it back to orange who fixed it.

i might call into an orange shop then, see if they can do anything.
how did you do the mater reset btw?

ok, just stuck the headphones in there, pulled them out and it went back to normal

Was just about to post ..............try putting the plug in again when I read the 4th thread . I have had this phone for over a year now . Never had any problems with it. Have loads of software on it too and it's just fine.All I did when I bought it was de-certed it and de-simmed it , so ,I can use it on T-mobile .Was going to buy TomTom for it , waste of money I think .I just connect my C500 to MS Autoroute on my lappy and transfer a map . It's a good as owt !

pin....in the headphone socket. it get's clogged up with crap and confuses the phone, give it a poke and it should sort it out.


my c500 doesnt have a front facia, or buttons for that matter. But i damn well wont replace it untill my contract is up
