hi guys,

ok, i have installed bitcomet, and have a few questions which I can't seem to find simple answers to in any documentation.

1. I have set up my router for upnp, yet still only seem to have local initiated connections. I got some remote connections when I manually opened a port in my router, but would prefer to use upnp so i don't leave open ports.

2. I don't understand how bitcomet handles files that have been downloaded. They are currently sitting on my C drive in the bitcomet folder. Can I move these to a location of my choosing? I tried it but then bitcomet doesn't recognise the move and attempts to restart the download from scratch.

3. When i leave bitcomet and start up again, my files that have already been downloaded don't seem to be available for upload (well nobody taps in to them anyway). Do i need to do anything to enable this?

Thanks

2. there should be an option in the config for bitcomet to select where they are saved to, so yes, you can move them to another location. alternatively, once they finish downloading you need to "remove" them from in the program so it knows you've finished with that torrent file. it will leave the downloaded file in your C drive location which you can then move. having removed the torrent from bitcomet, it won't (or shouldn't) start trying to d/l it again

3. don't think you need to enable anything, but you need to make sure the downloaded file is left in the same location that it was downloaded to (ie C drive location).

as a side note, bitcomet is banned from a lot of trackers i notice, have you tried other torrent programs like Azureus for instance?
