Help with which gtx 670 plzz

I think the EK blocks only work with EK backplates - or more specifically I know the EVGA back plate won't work with the EK block

looking at the install manual for the 670 backplate, you can install the backplate without fully unscrewing the block, so yes you should be able to install the backplate without draining your loop but it might be a bit fiddly

Backplates have come. Now I think my MB does support tri sli! Would 2 gtx 670 2gb sli be future proof or would tri 4gb cards be better?

I'm more than happy to get duel 2gb sli but I just don't want to have to replace these in 12months?

2G's would be fine but if you want to me 99.9% future proof your going to want to get the 4GB's. If you can afford it get it.

My MB has 2 x 3.0 PCIe slots and 1 x 2.0 PCIe slot. Says it can support quad sli. Don't know how it works that out? It's a z77 sabertooth.

Thinking about it now! I'm looking at £400+ to go tri sli in the future? Card + blocks. I'd be better off just selling cards and upgrading if I ever have to?

It's decided 2 x 2gb cards being picked up tommorow ;)

:D

I know it's irrelevant now as you've already bought the bits, but personally if I was doing what your doing I would go with the OCUK fitted water cooled cards that way there is now worries about warranties or having to remove the standard heatsink and fans to fit the blocks and their even clocked higher at stock :D

YOUR BASKET
2 x EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (02G-P4-2670-KR) £319.99 (£639.98)
2 x EK 670 Full Cover Waterblock - Nickel Plexi £73.98 (£147.96)
Total : £787.94 (includes shipping : FREE).

YOUR BASKET
2 x OcUK Tech Lab H2O Custom GTX 670 2048MB GDDR5 £320.98 (£641.96)
- 2 x EK 670 Full Cover Waterblock - Nickel Plexi £73.98
Total : £789.91 (includes shipping : FREE).

EVGA warranty covers you if you use waterblocks as well, as long as there are no obvious signs of water damage and you return the card with the original cooler

it looks like they are using the MSI OC card as the basis of the OCUK one... I would still rather have the EVGA's personally

just about in current games but I went with a 2560 monitor instead of 3 screen to avoid future problems in this regard... but then regardless of VRAM, 2x670's wouldn't be enough to max out games on 3 screens anyway - you'd want 3 of them

p.s. have you tried overclocking your 670's yet? what have you gotten out of them stable?

Thank you. Im just getting carried away with myself.

I really like these

But they only have hdmi and display port, and from what i can gather i would need to use display port to take advantage of 120mhz?? I only have 2.

Sorry i missed this, i have used evga precision X. I have my GPU clock offset set to +96 and my mem clock offset to +150. Thats as stable as i can get in Heaven and 3dMark11.

What you reckon?
