Help With Window

If you haven't figured it out already, it's known as "Unit broken down / misted".

Look for a Kitemark (KM) license number, as generally the manufacturer will offer a guarauntee. Typically, we offer a 10 year guarauntee and you won't have to deal with the middle man aka the window fitters as it's direct with the manufacturer, so it's easier.

I may be able to help if you can post the KM number (it will be stamped on the spacer bar), providing it's one of ours.

Just out of interest who do you work for?

I work at my Dads sealed unit factory, so im being nosey :p

ZOMG Wales :O (the dreaded welsh double glazed unit that lasts about 9months) No offense intended to you personally.

Visor maybe? Although I hear theres plenty in wales.

Your sealed unit has broken down. I run my own small glass/window company so if you could give some info on size of unit i could work you out a costing to have it replaced.

£60.00 per square meter for unit. 4mm clear toughened/cavity/4mm clear toughened.
2 men @ £40.00p/h to remove sash if needed, remove old unit and replace & re-fix sash in place. 1.5 hours work in total.

Regards

P.s not all units need to have a kite mark, only if the conform to the bs6206 impact test or is fire rated!

Where abouts are you?
