Just confirm for me please chaps that not too many moons ago, this was a £300+ card or is my memory borked again?

Toss up between the Leadtek 8600 GT Extreme 256MB & the OCUK X1950 Pro 512MB (PCI-E )

Cheers. :)

No, the x1950pro was never a £300+ card. You are thinking of the x1950xtx.

On release I think it was priced around £150 or thereabouts

Hi there

For the money the X1950 Pro is really unbeatable at these prices. :)

i agree with gibbo here, the price really is cheapo on the x1950pro at the moment and its deffo worth snapping up. if you can stretch to it get the 512mb its only a tenner difference.

edit: i just ordered a 512mb agp x1950pro. had to be done since they are so cheapo now and well its probably the best card on agp for the money i spent.

Thanks for the tips guys, I think he'll be happy (delighted!) anyway - he's currently got an AGP FX 5200 128MB fitted to his motherboard (it has both AGP & PCI-e slots) so I think the 512MB 1950pro will be quite an upgrade! :D

probably going to get one for myself too. :)
