Whats that stuff thats in the inside corner of your eye when you wake up in the morning, its sort of green.... cant explain it very well.

Im wondering where it comes from, what it is and why it appears?

it is sleep
all the sleep you don't use up during the night is left as a discharge in the corners of your eye.
if you scrape it off and save it up - you can collect enough to earn a whole winters hibernation
or something like that...

Gah, I hate that stuff. I used to have blocked tear ducts, so I would wake up every morning to find my eyes fused shut. I had to hold my head underwater in the bath/shower for a good minute to get rid of it, and finally be able to see

My wifes eyes don't close, and they don't water either. She has to use Lacrilube eye lubricant every night to stop her eyes drying up, and this leaves a congealed lump in each eye every morning.

that sounds horrible. I assume you have learned to wake up 5 mins after she does to avoid the show.

I also hate the way sometimes your eyes are stuck together so you cant open them...really hate that.

Once I had an eye infection and one morning I woke up, but couldnt open my eyes because of the crap.

I thought I'd gone blind for about 5 mins, before I managed to stumble to the bathroom and wash it off.
