They use the latest 12.7 beta drivers:

They compare it to the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 680 OC which has a 1072MHZ base clockspeed. The GeForce 304.48 beta drivers were used. The latest driver sets for both cards are being used unlike many other reviews which are using older drivers.

MOAR RAM FTW!! :p

Edit!!

Multi-monitor testing added:

6GB card and then no crossfire / large resolution benches

/pointless review

From the review:

"The 6GB framebuffer, meanwhile, doesn't tell in our standard games and tested resolutions, so we'll quickly revisit the topic with multi-monitor testing."

The review is also using the latest drivers from both AMD and Nvidia which I suspect most reviews will not use.

This ones uses the earlier 12.4 drivers for example:

Im a big fan of this card :)
Although I dont particularly like sapphire cards, just the principal of pushing the boundaries a little :)

Think it will also take the most expensive single GPU crown back too :D

6GB? Is there any game out there that will come close to using that amount of VRAM on a multiple card/monitor setup?

Use it; yes (Afterburner reported usage), require it; debatable.

5 x 30" 2560x1600 monitors in Portrait Eyefinity would probably require the VRAM, but even then you are going to be massively constrained on GPU grunt even with 4 way crossfire (we are talking 20.5 MP - more with bezel correction)).

Of course the actual VRAM requirement would be heavily game dependant even at this resolution.

Unfortunately though, the (video) outputs the card comes with constrains the usability of the extra VRAM.

So, the frequencies are where the extra fps comes from. Extra vram purely for marketing / minimal gains. Wouldn't mind seeing results from crossfire / tri-fire. :D

I think it looks ok, better than a nail varnished GPU for sure.

trolololo

I agree though, it's hideous styling. I thought their dual-x cooler looked really good too..

I also meant to say when I first saw it that the writing on the backplate will be 'upside down' facing away from you when you plug it into the mobo. Lol.
