hey guys spec me a harddrive please <3

Hey everyone, i built my pc around 2 years ago, and it has really begun showing problems! i know its a hard drive problem, and i think its time to upgrade my 6 year old 250gb hd

my spec is as follows:

intel conroe dual core esomething @ 3ghz
4g.b some thing RAM
8800gtx
6 year old harddrive which always sounds like its dying!


i am eventually going to upgrade fully but for now i can only afford a new HDD which i think is most needed!

i have around £80 to spend! and need it for gaming/digital encoding/ all these high intensity tasks!

any suggestions?

With about £80 I'd get 2 500 gig drives either seagate or wd black and with a good partition scheme will be much better than a single drive.An example would be

Drive 1 partition 1 100gig c: windows partition 2 400gig d: programs
Drive 2 partition 1 10gig e: pagefile partition 2 490gig f: storage

This could tuned to your own needs encoding and editing is faster reading from 1 disk and writing to another its also good to have a back up of you windows partition on an other drive .

And keep the change for your build. Having two drives I find tends to be little fussy.
