Got it going it was a psu issue so its all go now

Good grief I'm amazed as I would tend to think that there could be something wrong with your corsair HX 850 if that is the case.
Glad that you have got it sorted though.
whats puzzling is that it ran my i7 2700k setup mind you i would get a random restart every now and again for no apparent reason warranty time i think

I would agree that it might well be warranty time. Could you not find a utility which shows how much current is coming from the auxiliary 12v supply for the motherboard from that Corsair PSU, just to check if what you are thinking is correct..?

OCCT shows the power on rails, but not sure how accurate it can be as I have no multimeter to check.
