Hi all - 256MB ATI® Radeon HD 3450 Question

My GF bought a Desktop last month and it has this GFX card installed.

256MB ATI® Radeon HD 3450

Is it any good for any games?

She likes settlers type games

If the gfx card is pants can anyone spec me a decent ish one to play that type of game

It's not terrible, but as a reference see here:

If your looking at a new card the 9800 series Nvidia cards or the 4850 series ATI cards both work out at about £100 and should be more than capable of munching through those types of games

Thanks for that Danger , wow the card is right at the bottom must be very poor! hmm ill give it a go , if not then gfx card upgrade for her! just hope i dont have to update the psu also

it will be absolutely fine for settlers type games

Geforce series 8 and 9 do not work properly with settlers 4 they leave black marks over the consoles due to missing pieces of software within Nvidia drivers.

Radeon cards do not appear to have this issue and the 3450 def works as its in my dads pc
