I believe I first heard about Chris Sands, the guy who suffered from continuous hiccups for over two years, here on OcUK. I remember really feeling sorry for the guy as it seemed like such a horrible ailment to have.
Well... apparently he has been cured after finding out he had a tumour on his brain stem causing it. It took a Japanese doctor looking into his problem to suggest he had an MRI scan which revealed the hiccups cause.
I find it rather sad that he spent such a long time living in absolute hell when a simple MRI scan by a British doctor would have revealed the tumour right away.
