highlander

Absolute classic.

Only in Highlander can you find a Frenchman playing a Scot, a Scotsman playing a Spaniard, and swordfights including sparks provided from car batteries while Queen blares on the soundtrack.

Total unhinged brilliance.

I think Sir Sean is technically meant to be an Egyptian nobleman but the point stands regardless - he can't do accents. Irish cop, Russian U-Boat captain, English King and Arab outlaw all sound exactly the same to my uncultured ear when coming from him.

Oh and Highlander is a brilliantly cheesy film.

I must admit, I had no idea Clancy Brown was also the guy who played the seargent in Starship Troopers. Must have been the lack of hair in Highlander, and neck staples.

Actually one on my favourites list.

The series for the most part wasn't bad either. Though i would say it's dated a fair bit now, when it first aired on sky i was watching it weekly. Show stood up then as being a close 2nd fiddle to the original film.

Check it out for free on blinkbox, or shows on the horror channel, or did.
