Just about to get my renewal and found it cheapest through A-Plan (again) with Highway insurance.

Anybody with these guys? Any problems? any small print worth checking?

They are happy with my mods and business mileage etc and got a cheaper price with them than anyone else (£1770 )

I will be paying the insurance tomorrow so really need to dig up any dirt now! :)

I'm with them with all mods declared and unlimited mileage, no probs so far. Only annoying thing is I am only down as 1 year no claims as my other insurance was 10 month bonus accellerator and I was 2 months away from making it 2 years :( .

Still cheaper then my old one taking 2 years into account without mods!

Had my second years insurance with them, no problems with recognising NCB and then providing proof a year later. Changed car a few months into the policy and that was straightforward too. I think the broker was Direct Choice, the customer service side for you will probably depend on how A-Plan are.

I have been with A-plan for about 2 years and they have been great to work with so far. I think I will go ahead with this then..

A plan are different to Adrian Flux.

Adrian Flux couldn't help me at all! Considering they specialise in young motorists... useless! maybe if I was older with a criminal record or something they would be able to help.

So they wouldnt accept your bonus accelerator?

I was with Highway on my Mk1Golf (through Adrian Flux)

I'm now with them again through Noel Dazely, but never had to make a claim - kinda defaulted to them as they're the only ones who would insure my mods without wanting my soul aswell.

My old Hastings policy was with Highway (I believe that this is the same company you are referring to?)... In the end my policy was cancelled as it was "misissued". Whilst they may be allowed to it "legally" I felt I (And all others in my situation) were treated pretty terribly. My original thread about it can be found here if it is of any use: Link

Holy thread revival Batman etc....

I have been quoted £865 on the Z4 from Highway through Chris Knott Insurance which beats everything else hands down.
Has anyone ever had to claim with Highway and if so what was the experience like? Is there any reason I should pay nearly £100 more to go with the Admiral group?

Never had to make a claim but I'm through Chris Knott with Highway too, so far so good (and very very cheap compared to the rest like Brentacre, Flux/HIC etc)

had multiple years on STIs, modded scooby and 330d, never had a problem with them and A-Plan are a great company to deal with. Only reason I'm not with them at the moment is that a, I've got a company car and b, I got 75 cash back from elsewhere for my wifes car which made it a lot cheaper.

A-Plan will be high on my list to call when I get out of the car scheme in 6 months time.

My first couple of years arranged by Keith Michaels were covered by Highway. I claimed £1000 for an accident off them. No arguments, and very quick.

I've found admiral group will often lower their premium if you phone to cancel, 3 times they get within ~£20 of the other companies premium unless its stupidly cheap
