I have just decided to drop the weights for a few months and just do strength training based on my body weight. So I am putting a bit of a routine together and thought I may include some of those bad boys.

It seems they are meant to be exteremely beneficial, particularly for martial arts which is my main sport, so I was wondering if any of yoiu fitness gurus have any experience of doing them and what benefits you felt?

Don't push Hindu's around man, they have the same rights as you and I...

What's a hindu pushup?

I tend to work with weights that are greater than my bodyweight in the gym, but regular climbing gives me oportunity to work with my bodyweight.

Hindu pressups are performed in the following manner:

It is the only video I could find, I don't normally watch videos of fit young men exercising on the internet. :o :p

They look quite hard and after doing a few last night I can certainly feel it this morning.

Here is another link, the problem is most of the information floating around on the interweb is on a website where some meathead is trying to flog a book or video.

We do those in our MA classes (along with many other weird and wonderful different types of pushups) although we go back the way we came rather than doing a circle like the chap in the video.
We also steadily increase the box splits stretch whilst going through sets.

I challenge anyone that finds that funny to keep up with me :)

Nothing better for a pre-season.

hahaha boxercise!

I bet a certain Gillmiester is stood at the back of the class, slightly sweatier than he should be looking at all those ladies bottoms bouncing up and down.

Or mabye most likely in his case, mens bottoms.
The big gay.

I will do a few in my workouts then. After all, if they are good enough for Gilly in boxercise, then they are good enough for me. :D
