HIS 5770 1GB ICEQ5 Problems

I have had this card for about 6 months, and ever since Iv had black op's I have had problems with it just locking up on multiplayer. I then have to press Ctrl-Alt-Del to stop black op's and I can then go back into again, and it works for a while then does it again. It's also completly random when it does this.

I downloaded the HIS ATI drivers the other night for my card, and it seemed to be having even more problems with grey vertical lines, so I uninstalled, removed folders etc, and re-installed the latest official ati 5770 drivers, and now I have even more problems. I can't even boot into windows with the catalyst control centre running (if I do I get the grey vertical lines), so I have had to disable it in msconfig to stop it from starting in safe mode, or my computer is unusable.

What is going on with my machine?!

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit, 4GB RAM, Quad Core Q9550 @ Stock.

Can you uninstall your current drivers, grab ATI's own ones (not customised HIS ones) and see if that helps any.

And Monkeynut, I have already done that, but no better off :/

I'm thinking of just buying Windows 7, and starting a fresh, and see if that helps.
