hello i just bought 2 x his 3870 gfx cards, i have benchmarked 1 card installed on 3dmark 06 with a slight over clock my score is 12339

when i installed a second gfx card and ran crossfire mode my score dropped to 11701

is this normal ? is anyone else getting poor scores in crossfire ?

the drivers im on are 7-11_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_54435 the latest ones from ati i have just done a compare url for 3dmark 06
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=4000084 i can clearly see it says Linked display adapters No , i have crossfire enabled in CCC

i have had a lot of trouble with this card aswell with refresh rate problems :(

ps. i have shortend my sig now thanks paradigm :)

Interesting I've just got 3870's crossfired this weekend and like you have the latest drivers with crossfire enabled in the checkbox. My score with Vista64, 4gb Ram, E6600 all at stock is somewhere around 11.5 K! wonder whats up, everything in catalyst control centre is set to application preference and the adaptive AA setting is OFF (turning it on gives 20fps in CoD4 eek!)

i found out hte problem my mother board does not support crossfire :( Abit ip35 pro, but after a bit of trial and error and a chat with "paradigm" about his setup i realised that i was on official motherboard bios!, and he was on beta bios so i downloaded the beta bios for my motherboard M629B_16.B03 and bingo crossfire works now i getting 16800 score, i think the beta bios may be tweaked to run crossfire or 2 pci e slots i dont no but it works very well! :) hope this info is of some help!

Glad to see it works now, god knows why the BIOS you were on didn't run crossfire though, it should have done

Either way, I've had no problems with this early BIOS at all, its a great overclockers BIOS :)

'official board' crossfire?

I have the ip35 pro and get 16000odd points on crossfire with 'official board' bios.

Probs cos I got mine recently..when did you get your mobo exus?

bought mine 29 Aug 2007 (had upgraded bios to official 14)
