Hitachi RMA Service, any good?

I need to send off an E7K500 hard disk as recently it isn't detected in the BIOS until a second boot (warm boot after cold boot), it's as if it is taking longer to spin up than previously and also makes a clunk/click sound at random times.

Does anyone have any experience with Hitachi's RMA service?
