Hitachi warranty "Receipt Validated"...?

I was just checking something out for a friend regarding warranty on his drive and where it says about shipping repaired/new drives out I dont know what "Receipt Validated" means. Its says only when thats done will a new drive be shipped out. Does that mean a reciept as in proof of purchase?

EDIT: Im really slow today lol, I know what it means. Upon receipt of the drive they validate it against the rma and then ship a new drive out.
