hmmn, macbook pro battery life suddenly cut in half?

Hi all, suddenly within the past day or two my mpb battery life has shrunk. I'm sitting here just browsing the web, brightness turned to about 30pc and no backlit keys etc and i'm only showing about 3hrs for a full charge whereas it always used to be closer to 6 for this sort of situation.

istat reports battery health as 100% and only 127 cycles so far. What's going on? I don't think i have any more programs etc running and this is on a clean reboot (i often leave it for days at a time between reboots).

Run a calibration and see if that makes a difference.

hmmn, i think i've figured it out. I installed istat the other day and it seems that once i open the dashboard it cpu usage gets pretty high (i'd noticed the mbp being much warmer on my lap) and thus the battery drains quicker. So now everytime i open the dashboard i need to force quit it to lower cpu usage. I think i'll just live without the dashboard then!
