Will be upgrading my somewhat crummy and poorly watercooled AMD system to a shiny new Conroe machine.

I currently have a Viewsonic VX924 and after viewing DVDs on my other friends PCs i've come to the realisation that tbh the screen is no good other than gaming really.

My decision is that I sell this monitor and either a) Buy a more capable 19" LCD, and have more to spend on my new spec PC, or b) Spend that extra more, lower the PC specs a teeny bit and get a Dell 24" beast.

What do you people think?

This is my proposed spec with the Dell, and haven't really thought of without :p

Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3
Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83
Lian Li PC v1000 Case
GeIL 2x 1GB RAM
OcUK Nvidia GeForce 7950
Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Music

Cheers :)

AN 8800 is a hell of a lot more though, or is it really worth spending that extra?
What's the movie noise like on the 24" Dell? Sorry I keep forgetting the bleeding code name thingy for it :)
