Okay lads and lasses, outwith computers, consoles, sport and sex do you have any other hobbies?

My own hobby is a bit of a niche market, 1/6 scale military figures. If any of you had Action Man when you were young, you'll probably understand were my obsession comes from. Here are some pics from other collectors showing what you can achieve with a little paint, some plastic, some metal and a little patience -

If anyone wants to know where they can get hold of figures like these, just send me a message.

Wow I thought the first picture was real :D

Same here, looks really life like.

Hobby wise??, havent got much time for hobbies tbh other than the odd spot of photography of airplanes down at Heathrow.

Well, my hobbies include....erm....well there's......none :( I don't get any time, and when I do get spare time I'm usually too tired to do anything and just feel like lazing around. I need to be working on a portfolio for applying to uni in a couple of months, but I can't even find the time to spend on that.

Oops, I also thought they were real at first  :D

Hobbies? I build electronic things (synths, FX box's) and also like recording/making music (though less so now, seem to have lost that :( )

used to race and build model cars 10th scale, spent a fortune on it too, there boxed up and sitting there, really have to put one of them back together, shocks are leaking fluid

Same. (including the shocks at one time, although that was because the exhaust boiled the oil :o. )

Got two, one runs on batteries, one runs on nitro, and both run on money.

I collect 1/50th scale diecast heavy plant equipment, I have about 150 models at the moment.
My particular favourites are cranes, the biggest I have at the moment is a Liebherr LR1750 which is about 11' tall.
I am waiting to get the extentions for another crane that will take it to 14' 3''.

I still run them fairly regulrly.

I have a Kyosho sandmaster that i bought used and have had endless problems with, now finally everything but design floors have been replaced or fixed in some way so its a lot better. Its nitro and most recently i'm having a problem with the fuel injector blocking up and making it impossible to start (at least i think thats the problem). Unfortunately being quite old getting parts is becoming tricky.

I also have an HPI RS4 MT, which has been fairly good but needs some decent hop-ups really. Its also nearly impossible to get parts for because it wasn't even available in this country when i bought it. Its certainly rare though, which i like.
Currently i'm having a problem where the motor is overheating causing reduced motor lifetime and battery lifetime because its badly designed, relatively heavy truck with highish gear ratio. Can't get a lower gear ratio unfortunately.
Should be able to solve that with some bearings etc.

Both need a lot of time and money spent on them, currently i have the money but not the time. I'll take some proper pics sometime, but both need new bodies.

Up until yesterday I used to make all sorts of crazy stuff in the garage from jet scooters to classic cars, flame throwers, industrial pogo sticks and choppers but I'm employed now so it all has to stop :(

Fishing, and that tank picture is very cool... looks too clean though :) need to dirt it up a bit

Are you into RC 1:5 scale tanks? I would love one, but looking at £2000 and they require a lifting truck.

You should post those pictures on scale model forums, aren't they called "diroramas?"

I am learning to scuba and hope to get my PADI certificate in the very near future. It would be a lot easier if the person I am learning with would stop making me giggle, which causes all sorts of problems under water.

I also knit. I make blankets or shawls from oddments of wool that people give me, which I then pass on to various charities.

I also bake a lot and make celebration cakes for friends and family.

Hobbies? I like to watch movies, DVD or Cinema.

I do collect anime models :) Quite like that, But i've only been doing it for a few months so i've got like..6. lol, So i wouldnt call it a collection just yet :D

Other than that, I'm getting back to nature these days, Go on walks and bike rides with my girlfriend, I'm Getting fitter and we are spending more time together. Also it's my favourite time of year, So everything looks and smells nice :)
