Can't wait to get into it fully.

I had/have the PC version but my GFX card is lame and it looks rubbish also it was a coin toss between silencing my PC and bringing it to the living room or the PS3.

So on the PS3 does it still suffer from slowdown stuttering? Also does anyone know about the install side of things.

I have installed Everybody's golf and GT5P and now only have 14gig left on my 40 GB HD :(

Getting GTAIV in May as well I just hope I have enough space.

If you have a 40Gb HDD and GT5 is 5GB install and Everbody's Golf is 5GB and you only have 14GB left then something does not add up here !!! You ae missing over 10GB of space!!

For sure, but not 10GB ffs!! (That's bigger than Windows Vista install!!)

I just checked mine and I just realised I am down to 4.7GB/55GB free!!!

Just for a laugh I will break it down:

Media
6 * 700MB divx films.
6 * 1080P trailers
2 * Heroes epsiodes (1Gb each)
12 * HD Game trailers.
33 * mp3s (4MB each)
100 * photos (300ish MB)

Games

Installs:
R&C 400MB
PES2008 2GB
UT3 2.5GB
Warhawk 150MB
Burnout 25MB
DMC4 5GB
GT5 6GB
Everybody's Golf 4.7GB

Can't be bothered to list the games but in summary:

3 PS Eye titles
18 PS3 titles
7 PS3 demos
8 PSP/PS3/PS1 games
3 Arcade games

I think I will delete the demos later on to free some space.

Cheers for the heads up raiden will be making sure to have several save games.

I read somewhere that it's a good idea to save just before you exit the dungeon part where you make your final path choices that way you don't have to redo the tutorial part over and over if you decide to reroll.

RP do you need room for the games coming out end of this month perhaps or are you still resisting.

BTW how can you see what is consuming your data space on your HD?

I'm also planning to upgrade to 250GB before end of the summer. Still in game buying mode at the moment.

Ah so many games not enough time.

Oblivion will cache about 4GB of data on to your hard drive but I think it's something it does automatically. So if you haven't got the space, it might not cache anything. I don't know tbh.

Only game I have my eye on this month is GTA4. I can delete those demos and the HD trailers and movies. I can stream them all from my NAS at Gigabit speeds. I have just been lazy tbh. But my point was I have more content than most people and have not run out on a 60GB machine. I am under no illusion that power users will have to upgrade their HDD (Even I will soon), eventually.

sorry to hijack but im just interested to know if when you install the games to the harddisk, do you still need the disk in? or does it just install some data to speed up loading?

You still need the disk, the installs are run in the background and only aid to improve performance.

As for your other question about stuttering, yes, it does do it sometimes when you're galloping across the map. No way does it spoil the experience though. I love this game.
