Home Insurance for rented flat...

Not sure how this works. Just moved to London and renting a flat with my girlfriend who is a student.

Do we need to insure the building or just the contents?

Any advice on decent companies?

If you're renting then you just need contents.

Pretty sure the landlord has to have buildings insurance to be able to rent it out.

I'm with Privilege for mine, they were good value for me I get a discount through having my car insured with them as well though.
