As the Wife currently works Part time (and is off for 6 days at a time) she is thinking of starting a home Ironing service as a business, charging £20 for a black bags (rubble type) worth of Ironing.

Anyone else used these services / know of anyone that does it ?

What are the pitfalls and what is the best way to go about it ?

My mum used one for a short while, she thought it was great, but couldnt justify the cost after a while.

Make sure you dont burn anything and dont lose customers clothes. May wanna look in to some kind of insurance, but other than that, just have a go and see what happens.

there is a 'home ironing service' in our area
they charge £4 for 5 shirts, £25 for a 'black bag' and i think about £7.50 an item for those that take extra care

i only know this becuase my mum threatened to go on housework strike a couple of years ago (after i had moved out to uni, and she felt the men of the house were being selfish) and as such my dad started doing the ironing every other week rather than paying someone
