I did the A+ course a few years back, Purchased the books and then paid just for the exams, Passed it no problems.
Although i was working in computer's at the time, In my opinion £1800 is a lot for this qualification, You would be better off paying a bit more and getting some sort of Microsoft certification and teach yourself the hardware side of things.

Even though it's a home learning course you should shop around, there are cheaper alternatives.

yeh but i dont have the kinda cash to pay for equipment upfront it would have to be finance. Also hopefully when i finish the course (roughly around 5-6 months i would think) id be able to get a decent job to pay the rest of it off straight away.( i say hopefully!)
Doubt that qualification would get you a job much above 15-16k, in the current climate will take a few months of searching too. Not trying to be negative just realistic.
Is that a trusted site?

EDIT: Dude, seriously cancel immediately I did this course years ago for FREE, if its not free then its a simple case of buying book & reading! Take the test whenever! Probably costs around £100 for the exam. Multiple choice.

I couldn't say if that site was trustworthy or not as i just pick it for an example, but i would be wary of most home distance learning websites.
