It was done on top gear ages ago using a spaghetti tube, hairspray and a heat sorce thing (think they used a blow torch).

Maybe i can just remember clarkson in it, was also with the cheese pizza's and the oxycet tourch.

It is enough :)
Its actually quite a lot of hair spray. and it works well if its made right

I thought that, I think they have shown it like that so it doesnt really work in practice, I know how to get around that tho :D.

Oh no what have I started :eek:, ok once ive finished it 18+ meet in south shields beach, lets see how far we can launch a mellon in to the tyne mouth.

Me and a friend made a spud guns - it needed a bit of tweaking to get it right but they do work we were merrelly firing spuds a good 200 feet before the end of the combustion chamber blew off due to a design flaw and too much hair spray.

I also made a compressed air spud gun from a few bits of copper pipe and a gas tap - its still in testing as i cant seem to get the seal on the valve tight. tho i have managed to make nice big dents in a wooden fence when i shot wax slugs out of it.

They are a laugh and i do recommend building one - you can do it from under 30 notes and B&Q are pretty helpful :p

With the materials it would probably take me a few hours to build it, also if they are any IC engineers on here (not really my strong point) who want to work out the best compression ratio other than "lests see if this works" please post away :)
