Looking for advice on upgrading my homeserver (it probs more a NAS tbf) ... It does'nt need to be overly powerful but was thinking AMD?
It's current use is:
Emby Server (5 family members, 90% of the time files will direct stream)
Records Live tv (Freesat) as well as streams around the house
Stores backup files for multiple PC's aswell as uploads to the cloud
1x VM
Current Spec:
i5 4570
16GB RAM
approx 50TB over 9 drives
Fractal Define Node 804
Will need:
Case for 10+ 3.5" drives (Define R6 maybe?) plus a couple of SSD's
Mobo with enough PCIe slots for tv cards (TBS 6909, 6904) ... maybe 2x Dell Perc H310
